Jazz has always had that strange appeal to me – it’s not quite my favourite genre, but it’s great to listen to at certain times or seasons. Like during sunset or sunrise, when the sky has a soft glow.
I was tasked to make a playlist of warm background music for a church event, something that encourages people to mingle and interact. I decided – it must be jazz, and happy Christian jazz at that. And I went to look for Christian jazz music on Spotify. The result is this list of jazzified popular worship songs. I find it’s perfect to shift my mood after a long day, or get me into the right frame of mind in the morning. Enjoy!
